Cyclone Mocha formed in the Bay of Bengal (Bay of Bengal) has slowly moved towards the coastal areas. A statement issued by the Meteorological Department on Thursday said that it is not going to have much impact on West Bengal. Here in the state, the temperature is continuously increasing.

It is reported that the minimum temperature recorded in the morning was 29.2 degrees Celsius which is two degrees above normal while the maximum temperature a day earlier was 38.7 degrees Celsius which is three degrees above normal. Temperatures are expected to remain between 28 and 39 degrees today, due to which people will feel the sweltering heat. This is because the sky is cloudy and the warm air is not able to rise

Regarding Mocha, the Meteorological Department has said that it is currently located 510 km west southwest of Port Blair while 1210 km from Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh and 1120 km south southwest from Sittwe in Myanmar. Tonight will turn into a severe cyclone and move mainly towards the coastal areas of Bangladesh and Myanmar.

Due to this, it is not going to have much impact in the Indian states of West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Although its impact may bring heavy rain with thunderstorms, it will not be too damaging.
